What's Happening at UDL
Here is just a taste of what's going on at UDL right now.
We are calling for yearly subscriptions now. Our training programme for 08/09 is up and running, all the details are in our brochure. The training costs less than half-price for subscribers! So to save your organization money, subscribe now. Last year, 20 Boroughs subscribed; so far this year, 14 Boroughs have paid for '08/'09. We will prioritise bookings from the organisations who have subscribed. .
Please let Sheena know if you want us to invoice you. If you work for an organisation other than a Borough and want to subscribe, please contact us to discuss.
We had a great urban design officers meeting recently. It was wonderful to see you all, but we apologize for the fact that there were not enough chairs! The next officer’s meeting is July 15th from 10 to 11.30 am. Is there anything specific you would like to discuss?
Many of you reading this are not Borough urban design officers. Would you like us to set up other networking meetings—maybe for highway engineers, housing officers, or Design Champions? These meetings can be a great way to get to know others who perform similar jobs, discuss urban design issues and hear what everyone is doing. Please email us with your suggestions.
