You probably spend most of your time dealing with planning applications, but you may also get involved with masterplanning, policy work, enforcement and appeals.

• negotiating the design elements of schemes
• using planning policy
• presenting your arguments, write good reports and draft design based conditions, reasons for refusal and appeal evidence

We suggest you start by looking at the following sections:

In addition we suggest:

• Assessing design quality
• Plans, drawings and images
• Planning (policy and tools)

Then add any other sections you think might be useful

While you are looking at these courses we suggest you try to think about how the content relates to your job, especially how you assess applications and present your assessments.
