If you have been inspired by what you have learned and want to explore urban design with colleagues in your own organisation, we can facilitate this.
In the past, UDL has organised talks and workshops delivered for whole teams or across departmental groups. These sessions can be useful in helping colleagues arrive at a shared understanding of design issues within their local context and see how they can contribute individually and as teams. These sessions have included:
- An introduction to urban design for your colleagues or Planning Committee
- Design surgery sessions on tricky design issues in small groups or bringing wider colleagues together
- Specific topics such as using Design and Access Statements or how to accommodate families in higher density housing schemes.
Cost
UDL aims to provide subscribing authorities with one free bespoke session per year. However if you require additional trainers or wish us to deal with a particularly complex issue we may have to charge extra.
