Reading and Understanding Plans and Graphics

Any scheme may be illustrated by an assortment of graphical information such as plans, sections, computer generated images etc. This workshop will help you learn how to best use graphics to assess and describe schemes.

Alex Ely (Mæ LLp Architects)
Alex is an architect and partner at Mæ LLP Architects. He leads the practice’s work on sustainable urbanism and housing, working with a wide range of local authorities, public agencies and housing associations on housing regeneration, masterplanning, and new build housing design. As an advisor, Alex has worked with the Government on a wide range of housing issues. In practice he has worked for Foster and Partners and Pierre d’Avoine Architects.

Michael Howe (Mæ LLp Architects)
Michael is an architect and partner at Mæ LLP Architects. Michael has been responsible for the design and realisation of the projects undertaken by Mæ. These include off-site manufactured projects, such as the mobile m-house, through to public projects, such as burial ground design with Chapel and Mausoleum spaces. In practice he has worked for Matthew Lloyd Architects, Zaha Hadid, Patel Taylor Architects.
